Here's the way to do it
To massage a baby, start by choosing a warm, quiet environment and gather supplies like a towel, baby-safe oil, and wipes. Wash your hands to ensure they are clean and warm. Begin with the legs, gently massaging from ankle to thigh in a circular motion, and then move to the feet, rubbing each toe and tracing circles on the sole. Next, massage the tummy with gentle, clockwise circles to aid digestion, avoiding the belly button area if it hasn’t fully healed. Proceed to the arms, massaging from shoulder to wrist, and then the hands, gently rubbing the palm and each finger. For the chest, place your hands and move them outward from the center as if flattening the pages of a book, using gentle heart-shaped strokes. Lay the baby on their stomach and use your fingertips to make small circles on either side of the spine for the back. Finish with the face, using your fingertips to gently massage the forehead, cheeks, and around the jaw, being extra gentle around the soft spots. Follow the baby’s lead, talk or sing to them, use light pressure, and watch for cues of comfort or discomfort. Try to make massage a daily routine, keeping sessions short, around 10-15 minutes.
